The Mountain Discovery Program or our 5th Grade FREE Day

• Sally Brawley, the Snowsport Lesson Center Director at Mission Ridge, began the Mountain Discovery program in 2000, and continues the program in February each year.  This mid week program was created with the philosophy that skiing and snowboarding as well as the winter mountain environment is an important part of our community and therefore is too important not to share.  The fifth grade classes were then targeted so that this inclusve program does not exclude any child that has their parents permission to participate.  The program has been a huge success and now includes the following schools:

  Sunnyslope
  Clovis Point
  Sterling
  Entiat
  Orondo
  Columbia
  Leavenworth
  Newberry
  Mission View
  Lincoln
  ACH
  Cashmere
• The children receive:
  Free lessons for the day
  Free equipment for the day
  Free lift tickets for the day
