A Special Christmas Forecast

‘Twas 5am in the morning, when all through Mission Ridge’s Lodge like house Not a creature was stirring, not even a Pika (which is like a really fat mouse). The beer mugs were placed, on the bar shelves with care In hopes that fresh ale, soon would be there. The Groomers were nestled, all snug in their Snow Cats, For their hard work they deserve at least the tip of all your hats. And the Snow Makers are more than up for the task Each one undoubtedly donned in a warm winter cap, For the Ridge was just about to wake from its off hours nap. When over the radio arose such a clatter, That this snow reporter set down his coffee mug, to see what twas the matter. And what to my wondering eyes should appear, But a beautiful sun on the rise and bluebird skies drawing near. We’ll have comfy temps throughout the day, and a high near 28, And little to no wind that’ll sure make you feel great. The groomed runs are fitted with fresh corduroy pants, And Joel the groomer said he even saw Prop Man doing a midnight snow dance. While this morning there may be no new snow on the ground, The Lift Mechanics And Ops will have chairs 1,2, and 3 a runnin’ for you to make many a round. And we hope that your stockings were stuffed to the brim And know that your tummy will surely get it’s its fill, And look forward to soon seeing you on the hill. Happy Holidays to you and yours from everyone here at Mission Ridge!

Moisting is the word that comes to mind to describe todays light precipitation. We look to cool off tonight and and recieve a Christmas Eve present of a couple iinches of new snow tomorrow.

10am Update

The surface conditions are nice this morning. Firm, but carvable, conditions up top soften slightly as you make your way down to the Base Area. Anticipate conditions to continue to soften as the day progresses, but they should hold up well as the temperature looks to remain fairly consistent. The visibility is limited up top, but improves as you continue to make turns down the mountain to good visibility above mid-station. Winds on the top of the mountain are slightly higher than forecast, but it really is not impactful once you've pointed the sticks down the hill.
