Partly Sunny With Comfy Temps Today

Things are shaping up for another beautiful day on the mountain. We look to have a bit more sun today before a weekend storm rolls in and hopefully delivers some more snow. Groomed runs, especially those done on the AM shift, are looking amazing once again this morning. And with most of the mountain open, there is plenty of room to roam.

New Year's Forecast

Happy New Year! There is no better way to spend New Year’s Day than with your friends and family up at the mountain. It is going to be fun in the sun all day with little to no wind today. The corduroy is going to be super sweet this morning and you can always catch game action in the Chair 5 Pub in between laps. The cold temp the last couple of days has the snow in great shape and there are even a couple of fresh spots to be found out there.

What A Beautiful Day

Today was beautiful. Sunshine, amazing snow, and no wind made for quite a day. It has been an interesting start to winter, but its days like these that make us remember why we love this sport so much. It’s finding hidden stashes of fresh powder. It’s cruising the cords with your son for the first time on Chair 2. It’s grabbing a beer with your buds and laughing about the day’s yard sales. It’s connecting with nature, getting into the mountains, and hearing nothing but the squeak of bone dry snow under your skis. That is why we love to ski and ride and why we love to call Mission Ridge HOME.

Tuesday Forecast

Wow, yesterday was epic on many accounts. With over 20" of snow in the last 48 hours you can bet things are looking good out there today as well. Chair 2 was unable to operate yesterday due to Extreme High Winds (100+) at the Summit, so you know there will be plenty of fresh lines to be found. Chair 3 was amazing yesterday due to its wind protected aspect. Expect more terrain to be opened over there as soon as it is safe to do so. It will be very cold today at the Summit, so dress appropriately and keep all skin covered.

17" of New...Chair 2 On High Wind Hold

Chair 2 is on Wind hold due to 90mph gusts and sustained winds over 60mph. It has been an epic day for many reasons today. 17" of new snow befor 9am was an awesome suprise!. We were only forecast for 1-3". But with the snow came super dense fog and extremely high winds at the Summit. The fog  and winds delayed early morning avalanche midigation work which delayed the opening of Chair 3. But once it opened...no words. It does not look likely that Chair 2 will open today, but that just means that there will be plenty of fresh for tomorrow.
