Christmas Eve Forecast

Posted on December 24th, 2013

Today should be a beautiful bluebird Christmas Eve with temps in the low 30’s and a light breeze. Good coverage on our groomed runs mixed with tons of sun will make for a killer corduroy cruisin' kinda day.  We received around an inch of new snow yesterday... a little less than we hoped for, but still a sight for sore eyes.

Forecast

Cool and clear in the morning with lots of sun and a high near 33 degrees by afternoon. West wind around 10 mph. Gusts of 15-25 mph possible at times on the Summit.

Surface Conditions

Groomed runs are looking good this morning, firm especially from Tumwater 2 down so they should ski nice and fast. Conditions off the groomed runs are variable with a mix of wind deposited powder, packed powder, and hard packed snow.

Please be aware that early season conditions and coverage still exist. Be careful when off the groomed runs and respect rope lines. They are there for your safety.

Chairlifts and Terrain

Chairs 1, 2, and 3 will be in operation today as well as the Pika Peak and #100LAPS Rope Tows.

In order to maintain the integrity of the runs, no runs off of Chair 3 will be groomed today due to below average snowpack and lack of significant recent snow.

Ticket Prices

Lift tickets will be to $45 for adults, $35 for ages 7-24 and 62-69 and $10 for ages 6& under and 70+ to reflect the limited opening of chairlifts and terrain.
