Cloudy And Cooler Today

Posted on March 1st, 2014

Snowing as of 7:30! It’s gonna be much cooler today, but expect better surface conditions especially on the groomed runs.

Forecast

Cloudy, with a high near 17. Southeast wind 5 to 15 mph. You’ll want to bundle up and keep exposed skin covered as wind chill values as low as -6 degrees are possible today.

Chairlifts in Operation

All chairs in operation, as well as the Pika Peak and #100LAPS Rope Tows.

Terrain

100 percent of our trails are open.  Check out the grooming report for full details on groomed runs and open terrain.

Surface Conditions

The groomed runs should be softer and hold a better edge today. Cowboy Doug the Groomer suggests hitting up corduroy groomed on the a.m. schedule off of Chair 2 for the best cruiser turns this morning.

Expect variable conditions off the groomed runs ranging between hard pack and stashes of lightly tracked powder.

Ski and ride with care as unmarked obstacles do exist. Always enjoy the mountain with a partner to share the fun and stay safe.

Events

Special Olympics: Washington State Winter Games Alpine events taking place Friday through Sunday.
