Fresh Spring Snow

Posted on April 5th, 2014

It might be a touch above freezing across most of the mountain, but it is snowing hard from the Base to the Summit.

Mostly cloudy, with a high near 37. West wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph possible at times on the Summit. 40% chance of scattered snow showers after 11am. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Chairlifts in Operation

All chairs in operation as well as the Pika Peak and #100LAPS rope tows.

Terrain

Skookum will beclosed for the NW Cup finals race. Riders right of lower Katsuk will be closed fo rthe Bomber Banked Slalom. There will be no access to Lip Lip/Tumwater from the bottom of Katsuk as well.

Check out the grooming report for full details on groomed runs and open terrain.

Surface Conditions

Runs on the upper part mountain have softened, especially with the new snow, but are still well set up and super carvable.Things definitely turn soft and springy by midway making for buttery spring turns.

Off piste conditions are prime for adventure as they have softened up pretty well and the new snow will only make things better.

Ski and ride with care as unmarked obstacles do exist. Always enjoy the mountain with a partner to share the fun and stay safe.
