What's in a name? Our trail names are actually pretty interesting - Chinook Jargon created by the trappers and is a blend of french, spanish, english and native american
al-ah = surprise
chak chak = eagle
e-lip = to go first, before
hy-ak = swift, hurry, haste
kat-suk = middle, center of everything
ka-wham = ka boom
ki-wa = crooked
kwan = glad, pleased
lemolo = wild, untamed
lip-lip = boiling, to boil
mi-mi = down stream
sit-kum = a half or part of
skookum = bold
til-i-kum = friend, people
to-ke-tie = pretty, attractive
tumwater = waterfall
ty-ee = superior in order, a chief
wa wa = demanding
way-hut = a trail, road
