4:00pm Conditions Report:Â
If you’re just getting off from work or school, we’d love to see you on the mountain tonight! Today’s been defined by cold temps and clear skies, which will continue into the evening. This has helped to keep the snow dry and the views outstanding. You’ll find a mix of conditions on the mountain tonight, with terrain getting skied out over the course of the day but maintaining soft snow in places. Snowmaking has been active on open runs today, which has added a bit of additional snow to the surfaces. I’d suggest looking for soft spots along the edges of runs or the outsides of bends in the trail, where it’s been piled up throughout the day. The center of runs has been skied down to hardpack in a few spots, especially on upper Sunspot where we got some significant winds earlier today. Sunset should be excellent tonight, and with the cloud inversion largely blowing out this afternoon, the valley lights should be visible for the first time in a while. We’ll see you on the mountain!
