10 am Update
What a wonderful morning to cruise some corduroy! The Grooming Crew did a great job as always last night and it really doesn't get much better than this for carving some turns. Chak Chak was especially good off the top of Chair 4 today. The storm is starting to move in so look for setting an edge to transition to slashing pow in the next 36 hours.
Early Morning Update
The start of a new week is bringing a new storm with it. Look for the weather to change over the course of the day today as a winter storm warning is in effect and we are about to really see the snow start to fly! There is an 80% chance of snow during the day today with 1” to 3” possible and up to 11” in the forecast by the end of the day Wednesday. January has been a great month for new snow so far and that trend doesn’t look like it’s changing anytime soon. Nice groomed conditions will become more variable through the day as the snow starts to stack up. We will have Chairs 1, 3, 4, the Pika Peak Rope Tow, and the 100LAPS Rope Tow scheduled for operation from 9 am to 4 pm.
Please make sure to dress appropriately for the conditions and remember that we are asking that everyone use their car as their base camp as there is no inside seating at this time and capacity restrictions are in place for all inside spaces.
It is important that everyone recognizes that this season is different from any we’ve experienced. It is up to every individual, both ski area employee and guest, to do their part to help protect the health and safety of our skiing and snowboarding community. Our expectation is that each one of us will follow protocols to help keep each other healthy. We ask all employees and guests to share in this responsibility and help us, “be the reason we have a season.”
Forecast
1/11 - Snow, mainly after 10am. High near 30. Southwest wind 11 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Terrain**
Thanks to the ongoing efforts of Patrol and our Snow Surfaces teams, we have now opened additional terrain on Tumwater, Johnson's, Maggi, and the ridgeline terrain above Chairs 3 and 4. Hiking and uphill travel is allowed from the top of Chair 3 through Bathtub to access the Ridgeline during operations. Early season conditions exist, thin coverage, marked and unmarked obstacles.
