The weather is changing and we will see our first touch of new snow today on the front edge of a fresh storm. Chances of snow increase as we approach mid-week with the highest likelihood of accumulation Wednesday and Thursday. Surface conditions will continue to be outstanding on the groomed runs this morning with things becoming more variable throughout the course of the day depending on snowfall. We still recommend sticking to groomed trails for the most enjoyable conditions as off-piste (non-groomed) areas are still very firm and variable. In summary, we will be trading out the sunshine for snowfall today but the smiles will be sticking around indefinitely.
Chairs 1, 3, 4, the Pika Peak Rope Tow, and the 100LAPS Rope Tow are scheduled for operation from 9 am to 4 pm today.
Please make sure to dress appropriately for the conditions and remember that we are asking that everyone use their car as their base camp as there is no inside seating at this time and capacity restrictions are in place for all inside spaces.
It is important that everyone recognizes that this season is different from any we’ve experienced. It is up to every individual, both ski area employee and guest, to do their part to help protect the health and safety of our skiing and snowboarding community. Our expectation is that each one of us will follow protocols to help keep each other healthy. We ask all employees and guests to share in this responsibility and help us, “be the reason we have a season.”
