1/27/21 Conditions Report

Posted on January 27th, 2021

10 AM Update: Pow Pow Pow! Well, the stakes are saying 8", but it's riding a lot deeper than that in spots on the hill. Be cautious going off-piste on the steeper runs as you can get down to the firmer stuff pretty quick. Look for the off-piste to become more variable as the day goes on. The more adventurous should be able to find pow pockets throughout the day.

We’ve received 8” of that beautiful dry, light, Mission Ridge blower pow overnight, so get ready for some fresh powder turns today! Just a reminder that off piste conditions have been very firm over the last week and because this powder is so light, look for off piste conditions to be variable. Take it easy your first couple of runs off piste to get a feel for the conditions.

Chairs 1, 3, 4, the Pika Peak Rope Tow, and the 100LAPS Rope Tow are scheduled for operation from 9 am to 4 pm today with Chair 1, Chair 4, the Pika Peak Rope Tow, and the 100LAPS Rope Tow Scheduled for operation during Night Skiing from 4 pm - 9 pm.

Please make sure to dress appropriately for the conditions and remember that we are asking that everyone use their car as their base camp as there is no inside seating at this time and capacity restrictions are in place for all inside spaces.

It is important that everyone recognizes that this season is different from any we’ve experienced. It is up to every individual, both ski area employee and guest, to do their part to help protect the health and safety of our skiing and snowboarding community. Our expectation is that each one of us will follow protocols to help keep each other healthy. We ask all employees and guests to share in this responsibility and help us, “be the reason we have a season.”
