10AM Update: From Midway up, it's sunny and in the 30s with some great views up top. Hats off to the grooming team, they did another fantastic job last night, and the groomed runs were running good this morning. Look for turns in the upper basin to soften as the day goes on with the warmer temps and sunshine. It's a little foggy about a quarter of the way down Mimi and drops about 15 degrees from the Midway temperature. Be sure to bring layers as it is in the teens at the base area.
8am Update: The fog layer has crept up to the base area and is about halfway up Mimi currently. There is an inversion this morning, so we are seeing temps in the teens at the base and sunny and 30's from Midway up. We will update again at 10 am to let you know if the base area fog has lifted as the forecast calls for sunny skies across the mountain today.
It feels like we are stuck in a loop, but we'll take it when we are out of the dark clouds in town, with sunshine, great groomers, and excellent views! The forecast is calling for mostly sunny again, so even if you don't want to hit the slopes, it might be a good day to come up and enjoy some sunshine on the deck for lunch or your favorite beverage. Look for the groomed runs to provide excellent turns this morning. Off-piste terrain is variable around the mountain so get a good look at your planned run before taking off. We are under the lights until 9pm again tonight so you have plenty of time in the day to get up the hill and on the snow!
Catch the Midway vibe this Saturday and Sunday with live music from 11 am to 2 pm. The forecast is calling for another sunny weekend on the mountain, and nothing brightens the mood like some sunshine, music, and drink specials! Midway Music Weekend
