2/2/2021 Conditions Report

Posted on February 2nd, 2021

While it is always better to be on the slopes than in the office todays condtions are looking variable around the mountain. With temperatures fluctuating throughout the day we can plan to see a wide spectrum of surface conditions, from soft and sticky to fast, firm, and frozen and even some dry stashes at the top of 3. Expect these conditions to change as the day goes on and as you go up and down in elevation.

Chairs 1, 3, 4 and the Pika Peak Rope Tow are scheduled for operation from 9 am to 4 pm today. The 100LAPS Rope Tow will be closed today for maintenance but the Park will be open for hiking and access via Chair 1.

Please make sure to dress appropriately for the conditions and remember that we are asking that everyone use their car as their base camp as there is no inside seating at this time and capacity restrictions are in place for all inside spaces.

It is important that everyone recognizes that this season is different from any we’ve experienced. It is up to every individual, both ski area employee and guest, to do their part to help protect the health and safety of our skiing and snowboarding community. Our expectation is that each one of us will follow protocols to help keep each other healthy. We ask all employees and guests to share in this responsibility and help us, “be the reason we have a season.”

2/2 - A slight chance of snow before 7am, then a chance of snow after 10am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 38. Southwest wind 9 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
