2/3/2021 Conditions Report

Posted on February 3rd, 2021

10 AM Update: I just got in from a few runs and the upper part of Chair 3 was riding good on the groomers with a little new snow on top and off-piste I was able to find a couple of nice pockets of powder. About 3/4 of the way down on Chair 3 the off-piste became more variable, so take it easy your first couple of runs to get a feel for the mountain. The more adventurous should be able to find powder pockets all day. The temps are looking to stay on the colder side all day, so the turns should be good until 9pm. Look for the lower section of the mountain to become more variable as the day goes on.

It is always great to arrive to a dusting on the mountain. Groomers are expected to be soft and cruisy. Off-piste [non-groomed] will continue to be variable, there are still some powder stashes to be found near the tops of chair 3 and 4. Expect conditions to be softer at the top and firm up as you make your way down the mountain. It is always a good idea to ski with feelers on those first runs before you charge into the day.

Chairs 1, 3, 4, and the Pika Peak Rope Tow are scheduled for operation from 9 am to 4 pm with Chair 1, Chair 4, and the Pika Peak Rope Tow, Scheduled for operation during Night Skiing from 4 pm - 9 pm. The 100LAPS Rope Tow is currently closed as it is undergoing maintenance and will open as soon as possible.

Please make sure to dress appropriately for the conditions and remember that we are asking that everyone use their car as their base camp as there is no inside seating at this time and capacity restrictions are in place for all inside spaces.

It is important that everyone recognizes that this season is different from any we’ve experienced. It is up to every individual, both ski area employee and guest, to do their part to help protect the health and safety of our skiing and snowboarding community. Our expectation is that each one of us will follow protocols to help keep each other healthy. We ask all employees and guests to share in this responsibility and help us, “be the reason we have a season.”

2/3 - A 20 percent chance of snow showers before 10am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 28. Northeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.
