3/28/21 Conditions Report

Posted on March 28th, 2021

12:00pm Update

Chair 2 is currently on hold due to high winds at the summit. It will re-open when/if conditions permit.

8:30 am Update

The forecast is calling for winds to build today and we are starting to see that across the mountain. We are sitting under mostly sunny skies and the groomed conditions are great out there. There is a chance that the wind could impact chair operations today and we will update if anything changes with respect to chairs in operation. A storm is rolling in and we're looking forward to the possibility of fresh snow over the next 24 hours.

Early Morning Report

We’re well into the spring ski season but we’re going to get another taste of winter and the return of some fresh snow today. 2”-6” of new snow is possible over the next 24 hours. Today is likely to see a range of weather conditions from partly cloudy skies in the morning, to building clouds and then snow as we approach mid-day and the afternoon. Groomed runs should start the day out in the top form we have been enjoying lately and then we might even get some fresh turns in new snow by the afternoon. Look for conditions to vary today based on the weather.

Season Passes for the 2021/22 season will go on sale April 1st. Current Mission Ridge Premier, Core Value, Midweek, and Twilight Passholders will be able to purchase next year’s pass at a discounted price during a special renewal sale March 29th through the 31st. Pass details and pricing will be available prior to the start of the sale.

Please make sure to dress appropriately for the conditions and remember that we are asking that everyone use their car as their base camp as there is limited seating inside and capacity restrictions are in place for all inside spaces.

It is important that everyone recognizes that this season is different from any we’ve experienced. It is up to every individual, both ski area employee and guest, to do their part to help protect the health and safety of our skiing and snowboarding community. Our expectation is that each one of us will follow protocols to help keep each other healthy. We ask all employees and guests to share in this responsibility and help us, “be the reason we have a season.”

3/28 - A 50 percent chance of snow after 11am. Increasing clouds, with a temperature rising to near 36 by 11am, then falling to around 21 during the remainder of the day. Wind chill values as low as zero. Southwest wind 15 to 25 mph increasing to 27 to 37 mph. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
