10 AM Update: The morning groomed runs were quick and holding a good edge. The off-piste (non-groomed) runs were firmer and variable. Look for the conditions to become more variable as the day goes on, as the spots in the sun will soften up, and the shaded parts could remain firm. The sun is out, and you can currently see all the mountains and spectacular views from the top.
Early Morning Report
Get out your sunscreen, it's looking like it's going to be a spring skiing type of day. We aren't quite to t-shirt weather though, as the temps will range between 35 degrees at the summit and 46 degrees in the Base Area. Look for firmer surfaces in the morning, becoming softer, spring-like conditions in the afternoon. Chase the sun across the mountain to find those sun-kissed groomers that will provide the best turns. Look for off-piste to be firm and variable around the mountain.
Chair 1, Wenatchee Express, Chair 3, as well as the Pika Peak rope tow are scheduled for operation from 9 am to 4 pm. The 100LAPS rope tow will be closed to start the day but should open after the finishing touches are put on the new park build. Chair 4 does not operate Monday-Thursday.
Please make sure to dress appropriately for the conditions and remember that we are asking that everyone use their car as their base camp as there is limited seating inside and capacity restrictions are in place for all inside spaces.
It is important that everyone recognizes that this season is different from any we’ve experienced. It is up to every individual, both ski area employee and guest, to do their part to help protect the health and safety of our skiing and snowboarding community. Our expectation is that each one of us will follow protocols to help keep each other healthy. We ask all employees and guests to share in this responsibility and help us, “be the reason we have a season.”
