Chair 2 is now off hold. It is very warm on the Lower Mountain this morning, and the heavy snow conditions reflect that. Due to avalanche control and mechanical hold we have not skied the Upper Mountain, but the termperatures have so far held steady so expect the snow quality to be much better than below Midway. Bombers and all off-piste areas are now open. Several of these areas are opening for the first time this season, so please be cautious of hazards as you explore new terrain. Have fun!
My legs are a little tired from yesterday, but that is not going to stop me from getting out there today. Warming temperatures and a light mix of precip overnight will have an effect on the snow density and surface characteristics. Changes will be most apparent around Midway and the Lower Mountain. Patrol is performing avalanche mitigation work this morning and will open new terrain as conditions permit. I'm looking forward to another day of great skiing, I hope you are too!
A slight chance of snow and rain. Cloudy, with a high near 33. West wind 14 to 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Due to the fresh snow yesterday, expect groomed surfaces to be in nice shape today. Off-piste terrain will be powder/packed powder. New terrain will open as conditions permit.
*Low snow coverage in areas. Marked and unmarked obstacles do exist so please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures as they are there for your safety. As always, ski and ride with caution.
