The holiday season has treated us well and it’s been a blast to see all our friends out there enjoying the new snow and new terrain. Sadly, 7 day a week operations come to a close tomorrow, so join us for another great day of skiing today to ring in the new year!
So far this morning the groomed surfaces are staying firm, even in the sunny spots, despite very warm temps at the Summit. Off piste the snow is still soft, but has set up a bit due to the temperature change. Coverage is very thin, particularly south facing slopes on the edges of the groomed runs, so please continue to exercise caution in your line selection. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen!
Partly sunny, with a high near 33. West wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable.
If the temperature inversion persists, expect groomed surfaces to remain firm on the Lower Mountain throughout the day, while warm temps should make for some great cruiser runs above Midway. Off-piste conditions are windblown/packed powder with variable coverage. Due to the warm overnight temperatures, Windy Ridge, Microwave, and Bowl 4 will be closed today.
*Low snow coverage in areas. Marked and unmarked obstacles do exist so please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures as they are there for your safety. As always, ski and ride with caution.
