Re-Opening Saturday 12/2!

Posted on November 29th, 2017

Alright, here we go! Mission Ridge will be re-opening this Saturday and Sunday, December 2nd-3rd from 9am-4pm. The MRSM crew has has been absolutely crushing it out on the mountain making snow and setting you up for a great season. Over the last week and a half temperatures have been sporadic, but when it has gotten cold enough* this hardcore group of PNW Originals was out there getting it done from the top of The Ridge to the bottom of the Base Area.

We have had a couple days of good snowmaking this week, 3” of new snowfall on Tuesday, and there is another window of cold temps headed our way Thursday and Friday. The decision has been made to keep the pedal to the medal out on the mountain through Friday so that we can not only open this Saturday and Sunday, but also to take advantage of every moment that we can to establish a solid base for the rest of the season.

We are excited to welcome you back up to the mountain for a fun weekend of skiing and riding! Lift tickets will be discounted, the food will be hot, the beer nice and cold, and all of our Base Area operations will be up and running to take care of you right.

See you on the hill!

*How cold is cold enough to make snow? As a general rule of thumb a wet bulb temperature of 28 degrees is required to get the guns fired up. To over simplify, wet bulb is a measurement that takes into account both ambient air temperature and humidity. Wind speed and direction also has a significant impact on when and where snowmaking can go down.
