4/20/25 Conditions Report

10:00 Conditions Update: Hey, where’d all these clouds come from? There’s some big greys hanging up in the sky, seemingly only above The Ridge. It’s a nice break for the eyes from all this sun, I guess, and there’s long horizons in all directions. The Enchantments look stunning today in the golden morning light with a shroud of silver clouds crowning their peaks. I thought it was going to be a repeat of yesterday’s beach day but with the clouds and cooler temps, the base is more structured and holding an edge nicely while still having that sandy feel. It’s super fun to carve up that soft top. It’s a chill way to close out the weekend and I implore you- Ski it while you can.

6:30 Conditions Report: There is a beautiful sunrise growing over The Ridge this morning. It’s currently mostly sunny with pleasant temperatures and calm conditions at the base. It’s looking like we’re going to be able to keep most of that today, with a little wind as a compromise. Temperatures did drop below freezing last night and considering the snow base, resilient as ever, was able to cure into something structured yesterday with warmer temps, I think we’re going to start the day firmer and soften as the day progresses. Significant melt has occurred since last weekend and coverage is low in places on and off piste. Expect low coverage in places and potential terrain closures this weekend. As always, ski in control and be prepared for obstacles and variable conditions.
