1/9/26 Conditions Report

10:00 Conditions Update:

Friday morning is off to a good start! Groomers of Chair 2 and Chair 3 are medium firmness with dry snow and lots of space to explore. As expected, there are numerous stashes off-piste if you’re willing to traverse a bit. It seems like the snow has compacted a little bit since yesterday but there’s still a lot of great shots to be had. Winds are taking a little longer than projected to die down, so it’s fairly chilly at the summit. Dress warm and take breaks if you need! The summit has been bopping in and out of the clouds as the rest of the mountain is in the clear with gorgeous valley views and a hint of sunlight hitting some of the opposing slopes. See you on the mountain!

6:30am Conditions Report:

The moon is just peaking through a thin layer of overhead clouds this morning, faintly illuminating fresh cords and the glow of snow guns on blast across the upper mountain. The crews are hard at work finishing preparation for another great day of skiing and riding. It’s been a fun, wintry week with sustained chilly temperatures and a couple inches of cold, dry snow midweek, and we’re still reaping the benefits of those conditions as we head into Friday morning. Chair 2 groomed runs should be in good shape with dry snow and smooth, glide-y conditions to start the day. Groomers off of Chair 3 and Chair 4 will have a mixture of conditions and coverage, with some great soft snow and some firmer areas especially on Chair 4 terrain. If you’re looking to seek out some stashes today, they’re certainly out there! Try heading out toward the the Alah/Maggi/Windy Ridge area or even continuing over onto Chair 3 terrain. While variable conditions and thin cover continue to exist across the mountain – so caution is needed as always – sheltered areas on that part of the mountain were still harboring a lot of soft snow at the end of yesterday. Cold temps have kept untracked areas fairly fluffy even a couple days after the storm. As the day progresses, we’re likely to see steady weather with moderate winds (much lower than the last few days), stable summit temps in the 20s, and cloudy skies that could gradually ease up throughout the day. We’ll be open till 9pm tonight if you want to get some Friday night riding in, and it’s the first day of Friday night Ski Link service this year too! We’ll see you up here!
