Ski and snowboard tracks over freshly groomed snow

1/17/2026 Conditions Report

10:00am Conditions Update:

The sun is shining and the breeze is mellow, so grab your Hawaiian shirts and come enjoy a day above the clouds with us as we embrace this springy weather! We’ve got great food on the menu at both the Hampton Lodge and Midway, and to keep you rocking from noon to night, we’ve got live music from Dj Set with DJ Good Cat playing some sweet beats at the base from 12pm-2pm.  And Mountain Music featuring Those Guys  (the band) to keep the good times rolling during night riding tonight.

If you’re joining us for the first time since last weekend, you’ll notice our trail selection is more limited right now. This is due to the unseasonably warm temps that impacted our snow pack throughout the week, but rest assured, our snowmaking team have done a stellar job at laying down the white stuff in the Upper basin down through Mimi. I was pleasantly surprised by how nicely my skis glided from the summit to base area, and those soft turns are brought to you today by both our hard working crew of snowmakers and groomers. Expect off-piste terrain to remain very firm and limited in its coverage in many places across the mountain, so always be sure to ski and ride with caution, with a reminder to pre-ride, and re-ride, before you free-ride.

Cheers to another sunny day on the mountain!

6:30am Conditions Report:

Good morning Skiers and Riders! I tried getting rid of the fog in the valley for y’all. Mist! So, that means if you want to enjoy the sunshine today you’ll have to elevate your adventures and come on up to the Ridge! The high pressure system we’ve experienced all week continues into today, which means you can expect more blue skies and a light breeze all day long. During the day we could see temperatures rise into the mid 40s in the upper basin, with a cooling trend as you descend in elevation. With the temps dropping at night our snowmaking crew have been getting after it to ensure you can enjoy some fresh cruisers today. On the trail menu the grooming team have laid down fresh cords on Sunspot, Tumwater, & Mimi.  Ungroomed terrain will remain very firm and highly variable coverage, so sticking to groomers will be your smoothest riding experience today!

It is also important to be aware that, especially given the challenging weather this week, terrain and conditions can always be in flux.  Remember to Pre-ride, Re-ride, and then Free-ride: always take a visual inspection and a couple slower run-throughs of new terrain before diving in. Watch for thin spots, exposed features, and changing surface conditions as the day progresses.

We are leaning into these unseasonably spring like conditions to provide you with good vibes all day and through out the long weekend. Look forward to jammin’ on and off the trails with Live music from DJ Set with DJ Good Cat from 12-2pm set to play in the base area. And the good times will keep rolling into the evening with Mountain Music to host Those Guys (the band), from 6:30-8:30pm in the Lodge to complement your night skiing adventures.

We can’t wait to see you on the mountain!
