Ski and snowboard tracks over freshly groomed snow

2/11/26 Night Conditions Report

4:00pm Conditions Report:

The lights are flipping on as the sun sinks toward that western horizon after a day of brilliant blue skies and calm, clear conditions. Conditions are variable with a firm base layer underlying a spotty covering of loose, soft snow. Snowmaking guns ran well into the morning today, which fortunately brought in quite a bit of artificial ‘powder’ to keep coverage on the hardpack, but there are definitely some sections – especially on steeper pitches – that have gotten skied off pretty thoroughly. Look for less-trafficked terrain like Chair 4 to hold more consistent, soft snow. Temps stayed a bit chillier than forecasted today, which is a good sign for night conditions: since the snow didn’t get too wet throughout the day, it won’t freeze up as firm as the night proceeds.

If you do end up popping inside for a bit this evening, don’t forget that Lauren and Greg are hosting trivia in the Chair 5 Pub starting at 6:30! Tonight’s theme will have a Winter Olympics flare – each round will feature two Olympics-related questions. Don’t miss out. We’ll see you up here!
