4:00pm Conditions Report:Â
An absolutely beautiful day on the mountain has set us up for a great night, as we enter the final 4 days of Night Skiing this season! Come join us for one last Wednesday, as our recent snowfall has freshened conditions and brought us a little bit more night terrain. After a day of traffic on the slopes, conditions will be variable on the groomed runs. Areas of soft snow overly firm surfaces below, with a few spots of exposed hardpack. There will be plenty of dry fluff to throw about, but surfaces are bumpy in places. If you venture onto terrain that wasn’t groomed this morning, conditions are primarily packed powder, again with firm underlying snow exposed in some areas. Areas of thin cover also exist, so continue to ride with caution despite your excitement about the new snowfall.
Winds have stayed low throughout the day but are forecasted to increase as the evening progress, so it could get chilly toward the end of night skiing. Remember that Chair 4 is open only to Mid-Station during Night Skiing. Although it’s open to the top during daytime, there are not lights on Castle, so everyone must unload at Mid-Station after 4pm. Tonight is also our final night of Trivia on Tap, so come join us and Timberline Brewing for one more round from 6:30-8 in the Pub! We’ll see you on the mountain!
