4:00pm Conditions Report:Â
We’re getting ready to send off Night Skiing with one last awesome evening of skiing and riding under the lights! Conditions have been sunny and a little on the warm side, leaving us with denser, slightly spring-like conditions on the lower mountain while the upper mountain remains drier, with loose snow atop a firm underlying base. Temps should begin to chill out as the sun sets, which will result in firm conditions developing on the lower mountain where snow was soft and relatively wet. If you venture off of the areas that were groomed this morning, a wide range of conditions exist, including some packed powder, some compacted chalky snow, some firm spots, and some areas of thin cover. Ride with caution as always, and be prepared for variability!
Thin overhead clouds are filtering the sunlight currently, and if luck is on our side, we might be hit with an amazing last sunset to round out Night Skiing. The sun will dip below the horizon at 5:45 or so, so I’d recommend boarding Chair 1 around 5 if you want to catch an incredible view. After that, log some more laps, or drop down to the Base Area to watch Massy Ferguson play starting at 6:30! We’ll see you on the mountain for one last evening!
