3/11/26 Conditions Report

3:25pm Operations Update:

Chair 2 is currently on hold due to high winds. We will continue to update regarding the status of Chair 2 for the remainder of the day.

1:00pm Conditions Update:

Forecast snow has started to arrive with 2″ of new snow stacking up. Forecast winds are also picking up at the summit with gusts in the 40-50mph range. Due to an issue with the summit weather instrumentation, our summit wind speed is not reporting accurately at this time. We are working with our partners at NWAC to resolve this issue. We are watching wind speeds at the summit as the forecast calls for winds that could possibly impact operations this afternoon and into tomorrow.

11:00am Operations Update:

100Laps is now open! The park has a fresh build thanks to the crew. Come check it out!

10:00am Conditions Update:

Flakes are drifting down across the mountain as this storm gets started, bringing us a dusting of new snow atop moderately firm corduroy to start the morning. The new snow is adhering to the existing snow surface well, improving edge hold and providing some fun sprays that’ll keep getting bigger throughout the day. As the storm rolls in, visibility is on a declining trend, especially near the summit. Lower down, we remain beneath the cloud bank but have active snowfall in the air across all elevations. If you head off the groomed runs, continue to be prepared for variable conditions and coverage. Surfaces are very firm in most places and will need several inches of fresh before it gets surfy. Fortunately, those several inches could be arriving throughout the day with 4-8″ in the forecast plus the potential for more tonight. Anticipation is in the air!

6:30am Conditions Report

Good morning skiers and riders!

Winter conditions are firmly back in place across the mountain. Skies are mostly cloudy this morning and temperatures are chilly, with brisk southwest winds reminding us that March can still deliver some classic mountain weather.

Surface conditions this morning are generally firm after the overnight freeze. Groomed runs should offer crisp corduroy to start the day, while ungroomed terrain will remain variable with areas of firm snow and thin coverage. If you venture off the groomed runs, please ride with caution and watch for marked and unmarked obstacles.

Snow is expected to move in later today. Today’s forecast calls for snow developing mainly after 8am, with the potential for heavier snowfall at times and 4 to 8 inches possible by the end of the day with another 5 to 9 inches possible tonight. Winds will remain breezy throughout the day, and areas of blowing snow may develop as snowfall picks up. We’re hopeful this incoming system will bring a welcome refresh to the mountain.

For operations today, Chairs 1, 2, and 4 along with the Pika Peak Rope Tow and Ottobahn Carpet are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm. Chair 4 will be open to the mid-unload only and Chair 3 will remain closed due to low snow coverage in that terrain. The 100Laps Rope Tow is closed to start the day as the park gets a refresh.

We’ll see you on the mountain!
