10am Conditions Update
As I reached the summit this morning I was graced with a scenic vista of high clouds umbrella-ing some golden hues below! With new terrain open across the mountain vibes are high and people are stoked for the opportunity to get out amongst it all! If you’re willing to hike a little way, Windy Ridge still has some great stashes tucked away, and overall surface conditions are holding up nicely out there. Please be aware there is still some thin coverage in places and snow sharks are out there ready to grab your skis or board if you’re not careful. With that, this is your reminder to always Pre-ride, Re-ride, Free-ride when checking out new terrain. With conditions changing from day to day, it’s important to  1.Pre-ride: Scope out your line before you hit it. 2. Re-ride: lap the area slowly a couple times to get a sense for conditions. 3. Free-ride: Send it (responsibly and within your abilities)
The groomers are sliding beautifully from summit to base. I took a quick cruiser down Sunspot through Tumwater and still can’t wipe the smile off my face. Off-piste terrain is much firmer as things have been tracked out over the last few days, and I definitely recommend enjoying those groomers while they last!
Temps are hovering in the high 20s at the summit with winds up 30m at times, so keep those layers on. As you make your way down the mountain, however, temps are rising to a balmy 40 at the base.
It’s been awe-inspiring watching our tele-shredder friends glide down the slopes, and if you’re out about and you see a free-healer don’t forget to give them a high-5 in celebration of Wenatchee Tele Fest.
6:30am Conditions Report
Good morning skiers, riders, and tele markers!
We are set for a calm, cruise-y day up the Ridge! We are expecting temps to rise a wee bit today from low 20s, to low 30s at the summit through out the weekend, Â still be sure to layer up to enjoy maximum fun! Expect mellow breezes through out the day, as winds have died down after a week of stronger SW winds that have loaded up leeward slopes and filled up pockets of fresh for you to enjoy. Expect the groomers to be dialed in with the cooler temps at the summit keeping things smooth and gliding well underfoot, on the lower mountain it is possible that temps could rise up to 40, which could impact conditions, potentially making things soft and sping-like. Â Off-piste terrain, although well tracked from the week’s adventurous souls, may still boast some fresh stashes out there. As always, be mindful that early season conditions still exist, and always ski and ride with caution.
If you’re joining us of the first time since last weekend, you’ll be stoked to see some exciting new terrain open across the mountain. The combination of the storm that graced us earlier during the week and plenty of snow making going down from our snow crews, we’ve been able to open Chair 4. We’re also stoked to have Windy Ridge open for y’all to enjoy.
There’s lots of fun to be had up the Ridge today, with the Wenatchee Tele Fest going down through out the day and the fun energy rolling into the evening with night riding and Mountain Music with local band, The Runout Boys, sure to keep you bogeying on down!
We can’t wait to see you on the hill!
