10:00 Conditions Update:Â
Big flakes are in the air as we get the morning started on the mountain! From Chair 4, there was a hint of a rainbow to the northeast as we made our first turns on firm but edge-able piste. Heading over to Chair 2, corduroy got softer and more defined – with more snowpack and cooler temps up there, the grooming team was able to lay down some classic Mission Ridge groomed piste last night on Chair 2 terrain. Chair 3 and 4 groomers are more limited in quantity and softness today. Off-piste areas got skied off quite a bit yesterday and are getting firmer, though staying chalky so far, in easy-t0-access places. Word on the street is that a stash or two might still be out there if you’re willing to work for a bit.
As the day progresses, we are forecasting warming temperatures, though we haven’t seen that happening much so far. We’re hanging onto these snow showers for as long as we can! Let’s finish off the weekend the right way!

There will be limited grooming off of Chairs 3 and 4 today to preserve the snowpack against the warm temperatures today. Be prepared for low coverage and variable conditions and as always ride with caution.
6:30 Conditions Report:
Good morning skiers!
The trend toward balmy temps continues today as an atmospheric river moves over the mountain. This is an interesting weather pattern- Westerly but warm. Like most weather patterns coming out of the West, some moisture is going to be carried on those air currents coming off the Pacific Ocean.
Overnight, temperatures have remained above freezing at Midway and the Base Area, while the summit stayed below freezing. The warmer air is expected to creep up the mountain throughout the day which, combined with sun warming, should tip us over the freezing threshold at the top today. Expect the groomers to be soft and springlike at lower elevations, and higher elevations to start the day firmer with some potential to soften. There is a chance of mixed precipitation across the mountain, with little accumulation expected. There shouldn’t be too much of it but this precip could add to that softening effect.

Terrain*
Early season conditions exist and limited terrain will be open. Low coverage in places with marked and unmarked obstacles. Please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures as they are there for your safety.
All terrain accessed from Chair 3 and Chair 4 remains in early-season and variable condition, including the ‘main’ groomed runs. There is no easy way down, and only strong intermediate and advanced skiers who are prepared for variable conditions and significant areas of low coverage should ride these chairlifts.
Snowmaking operations will continue whenever possible to expand terrain and improve coverage. This may include:
- Modified terrain availability
- Snowmaking equipment operating on open runs
- Variable surface conditions in areas where snowmaking is underway

All ticket types are valid until closing, including night skiing.
