11:30 Operations Update
Chair 3 will be closing for the remainder of the day due to the high temperatures and continued moisture in an attempt to protect what is left of the snowpack on that terrain. We will have three Chairs and two surface lifts planned (1, 2, 4, Pika, Ottobahn) for operations tomorrow, 1/13.
10:00 Conditions Update:
It is a fun one out there today, with some unique and variable conditions to keep it stimulating. The snow across the mountain is saturated, creating a wet and soft experience akin to springtime skiing. We’ve got a light mist hanging in the sky, which is currently affecting visibility at higher elevations but visibility at lower elevations remains good. Conditions are uncommon on the mountain today and we are fortunate that our grooming team was able to get out there and groom what they could, but the groomed runs should ski in a new way today. Off-piste, anticipate firm and variable conditions. Coverage off of Chair 3 is thin and variable, and we were not able to groom any Chair 3 terrain. Variable is the word of the day today, so ride with caution and enjoy the soft snow.
6:30 Conditions Report:
Good morning skiers!
With warm temperatures overnight across the mountain, expect soft and springlike conditions today. With temps warming and a small chance of rain, we should see more softening as the day progresses. Mission Ridge’s location shelters the slopes from the brunt of this storm, but we are still feeling its effects. This weather system will linger, but we should start seeing some clear skies in the coming week. Today, anticipate wet and breezy conditions, with higher elevations remaining firmer longer and lower elevations starting the day softer.
There will be no grooming on Chair 3 terrain today to preserve the snowpack against the warm temperatures today. Be prepared for low coverage and variable conditions and as always ride with caution.
See you on the mountain!

Early season conditions exist and limited terrain will be open. Low coverage in places with marked and unmarked obstacles. Please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures as they are there for your safety.
All terrain accessed from Chair 3 and Chair 4 remains in early-season and variable condition, including the ‘main’ groomed runs. There is no easy way down, and only strong intermediate and advanced skiers who are prepared for variable conditions and significant areas of low coverage should ride these chairlifts.
Snowmaking operations will continue whenever possible to expand terrain and improve coverage. This may include:
- Modified terrain availability
- Snowmaking equipment operating on open runs
- Variable surface conditions in areas where snowmaking is underway
*Run status may change at any time.
