4:00pm Conditions Report:Â
We are STOKED for a bonus night skiing night, especially since we now have Chair 4 back in play to midstation. This is gonna add some additional fun terrain to the mix for us to explore this evening. With the sun starting to sink, today’s warm temps will begin to cool down as we watch the sunset. We are in the clear above the clouds and should remain that way through the night. Conditions across the mountain are variable after today’s skier traffic and temperature fluctuations. Some areas have wet, heavy springlike snow (especially lower down) while other areas have been scraped off to reveal the firm hardpack beneath (especially on steeper pitches higher up). As night falls, conditions will continue to trend firmer. Off-piste areas have extremely firm snowpack and highly variable coverage – stick to runs that were groomed this morning for a smoother riding experience this evening. Off of Chair 4, we are adding Lower Sitkum and Lower Chak Chak to the Night Riding mix. Come check them out – it’s not all the time you get a Sunday night with no work or school tomorrow! Let’s make the most of it.
