4:00 Conditions Report:Â
“Surprisingly fun slush right now” was the verdict from one skier as we head into the late afternoon. Today we’ve experienced a warmer-than-seasonable day with some fog and a bit of light mist on the mountain. This has kept snow quality damp and heavy but (at least on groomed runs) mostly soft and easy to put an edge into. Though it’s not exactly your traditional mid-winter conditions, there is absolutely fun to be had out there and corny snow to toss around. As the sun sets, we’re getting in our last daytime laps amidst foggy skies and temps in the 30s. As we head into the night, temps will remain fairly constant at first, which will be good to keep the snow soft for longer. As the night progresses, it is possible that conditions will firm up if temps drop, which could result in chattery conditions to finish out the night. Get up here while it’s good and we’ll see you on the mountain!
