9:45am Update: It’s exciting to see more fresh snow on the mountain! This morning you can expect three distinctly different experiences on your way down from the summit. Low visibility and slightly heavier-than-we-are-used-to powder at the top of Chair 2 transitions to heavier snow mid-way down Tumewater. The snow gets more saturated and slow by the time you hit Midway. Below Midway is wet powder conditions that are much slower than the rest of the mountain. It’s a perfect day to grab a Belt Wax and a Beer so that you can slide a little easier on the mountain and then enjoy a refreshment once the day is done!
Early Morning Report:Â We’ve received 3″ of new snow overnight, 5″ in the last 24 hours, and 7″ in the last 48 hours. The forecast is also calling for another 1″ to 3″ over the course of the day today as well. At Midway and in the Base Area, the new snow fell at temps about as warm as they can get and it still be snowing. Look for powder conditions at the summit to transition to wet powder conditions as you get down to Midway and below. It has been snowing lightly since 9pm last night, so there will also be a nice coat of fresh snow on top of some of the groomed runs, especially those groomed on the PM shift (before midnight) last night.

The month of January is dedicated to promoting skier and rider responsibility and mountain safety. Resorts across the country participate every year to educate skiers and snowboarders about being safe and using common sense on the slopes. Make sure you know the Responsibility Code to help everyone have the best day out on the mountain.
