4:00pm Conditions Report:Â
Saturday evening means Night Skiing and Mountain Music! Get ready for some good turns out there and some incredible views. We have clear vistas down into the valley for the first time in weeks, and it’s nice to get reacquainted with the classic river view looking northeast. Here on the mountain, we have a mixture of conditions to explore tonight. For the softest and most even snow, head toward Chair 4. With less traffic throughout the day, the piste has remained more consistent and has fewer areas that have been fully scraped off. On Chair 2 terrain, there’s a mixture of firm base and soft, dry snow atop it. Seek out those soft areas to enjoy the easiest turns. The most hardpacked areas are the top pitch of Sunspot and the bottom of Tumwater just above Midway. Temps will be chilly, possibly falling into the upper teens across the mountain.
If you head indoors, expect great vibes inside the Hampton Lodge, where Bandits of the Animal Kingdom will start their set at 6:30. They’ll play till 8:30, giving you a chance to warm up, grab some food, or sip a drink. We’ll see you on the mountain!
