10:00 Conditions Update:
Bring your carve skis! Our surfaces are nice and edgeable across the mountain. There’s the potential for some firming as the day progresses. There’s some golden sunlight shining down on higher elevation terrain but lower elevations are a bit more shaded. We’re holding out for that snow in the forecast, hopefully it will be enough to give our terrain that little bump. It’s skiing great today though, with a technical and supportive surface to get you sending. Fun Park remains a favorite of the people. It may be in that sweet spot of traffic, snowmaking, and sun to really make it shine. I, personally, am a big fan of its sort of rolling hilliness. Makes me feel like a kid again.
6:30 Conditions Report:
Good morning skiers!
The mountain finally began to hold a normal (not inverted) temperature gradient overnight, which should carry through today. Yesterday’s increasing clouds continue as we move into a chance of snow tonight through the end of the week. With any luck, we will able to eek out some fresh from this incoming weather system.
Though we are forecast to be cloudier than yesterday, we are not forecast for a gloomy day. I think we might still feel some rays on the slopes today, but it might be your rose gold goggle lens’ time to shine. Expect smooth corduroy top to bottom as we had temps to preserve our snow overnight. With less light comes less uneven sun softening, so our main driving force for changes in the piste throughout the day will be traffic. I wish I could help you with this one, but as soon as I tell you Chair 4 terrain tends to see less traffic, everyone else will be there. Sorry.
Regardless, it’s always it a good day to ski around here.
See you on the mountain!
