Ski and snowboard tracks over freshly groomed snow

1/28/26 Night Conditions Report

4:00pm Conditions Report:

Night skiing returns tonight, so come hit the slopes with us after work or school! It’s been a fun day on the mountain so far, with lots of placid cruising and plenty of personal space out here. Conditions are variable on the mountain right now, with temps in the 20s up to and mid-30s below Midway. This is creating denser snow lower down, while up top the loose snow stayed dry. In the most-trafficked areas, the loose snow has been scraped off to hardpack. The softest snow conditions can be found off of Chair 4, where the runs have seen relatively little skier traffic so far today. As we head into the evening, a weak storm system will begin to work its way into the area, potentially putting some early flakes in the air before we shut things down at 9pm. With the bulk of the storm energy arriving later in the night, I do not expect any snow showers to affect night skiing conditions significantly this evening.

Inside, we are offering our first Trivia Night of the year in the Ka-Wham Cafe. Grab some friends and come join us and Timberline Brewing as we provide Trivia, drink samples, and a fun evening with the Chair 5 Pub open. The event runs from 6:30-7:30 and the restaurant will be open till 8:30.

Early season conditions exist and limited terrain will be open. Low coverage in places with marked and unmarked obstacles. Please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures as they are there for your safety.
