10:00 Conditions Update:Â
Our cords are holding up well against the flurries yet and we are excited for that snow to really start coming down this afternoon. Right now, we are seeing firm conditions across the mountains with some variability. We are seeing a slight abatement in winds before they should pick up again. Sunspot is fairly wind exposed and is firm, variable, and patchy with spots of snow blown in and accumulating. The top of Tumwater has low cover but the run is carveable and skis well. The rest of Tumwater is firm and variable. Mimi is skiing well. Chair 3 terrain, which is mostly ungroomed, is very firm and variable but that area of the mountain may be a little more sheltered so it might be worth checking out. As always, ride with caution.
8:00 Conditions Update:
We are already seeing those forecast high winds for today. We will continue to monitor this, but there is a chance that conditions will affect operations, particularly Chair 2 operations. We are also starting to see snowfall across the mountain.
6:30 Conditions Report:
Good morning Skiers!
The Westerly weather system is touching down today. Expect the mountain to start the day calmer and snowfall to begin as the day progresses and into the night. We’re set to get several inches, so the snow could be heavy at times. This will kick off a week of snow across the mountain to keep our surfaces fresh.
Anticipate firmer snow to start the day. The snowfall should help soften the snowpack and create a surfy layer on top of the corduroy by the end of the day. Precip will hold off long enough to secure a few laps before it starts really coming down. It could get a bit breezy at times, and it goes without saying that we’re going to have some clouds. I would dig out the light tinted goggles and waterproof layers for today.
See you on the mountain!

Lift Status*
Chairs 1, 2, 3, the Pika Peak Rope Tow and the Ottobahn Carpet are scheduled for operation today.
*Chair configuration may change at any time.
Terrain*
Early season conditions exist and limited terrain will be open. Low coverage in places with marked and unmarked obstacles. Please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures as they are there for your safety.
Only advanced skiers and riders who are prepared for low coverage and variable conditions should ride Chair 3. There is no easy way down, and all paths of descent will have areas of low coverage and exposed dirt/rocks, including the ‘main’ named runs like Kiwa & Toketie. As always, we urge you to ski and ride with caution and take it easy as you ease onto new terrain.
Snowmaking operations will continue whenever possible to expand terrain and improve coverage. This may include:
- Modified terrain availability
- Snowmaking equipment operating on open runs
- Variable surface conditions in areas where snowmaking is underway
*Run status may change at any time.
