9:30 Conditions Update:Â
Vibes are high on the mountain today as we enjoy some new snow, excellent groomers, and the season debut of Chair 4! On-piste, conditions are smooth with dry snow and consistent cords laid down after last night’s accumulation. Off the groomers, snow depth varies after significant wind effects over the past 24 hours. Near Midway, we’re seeing a more consistent 3″ of light, dry Mission Ridge fluff that’s working wonders to bring you some soft turns. On the upper mountain, look for some deeper stashes on sheltered slopes, but also expect some areas to have been blown off overnight, especially along ridges and exposed pitches. Taking the time to explore a bit is gonna have a lot of potential upside today. The new snow has also enabled patrol to drop a couple of additional ropes this morning including Skookum and Tillikum. With another inch or more possible this afternoon, it’s gonna be an absolutely great day up here on The Ridge. With night skiing on the docket, we’ll be enjoying turns until 9pm tonight.
6:30 Conditions Report:
Good morning Skiers!
We are very grateful for our snowmakers’ hard work and to Mother Nature for filling in where they couldn’t reach. We are excited to open Chair 4 for the first time this season today! Yesterday’s storm gave us just what we needed to get some limited early season terrain open- and in time for Night Skiing this week to boot! The runs off Chair 4 are still developing and riders should ride with caution and expect variable conditions, low coverage, and unmarked obstacles.
We received a few inches over the course of the day yesterday and we are set to accumulate some more. I hear tell that the mid to lower elevation slopes may have benefitted the most from this fresh, so while the whole mountain is happy for it I anticipate a stashier situation below Sunspot or even below the top of Tumwater. The runs should be pretty soft all around, a little softer at lower and mid elevations. I would expect some wind at the summit and some clouds to accompany today’s snowfall, and it could get pretty chilly because of that wind so make sure to take breaks to warm up in Midway Lodge or Hampton Lodge with some tasty treats.
See you on the mountain!

Terrain*
Early season conditions exist and limited terrain will be open. Low coverage in places with marked and unmarked obstacles. Please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures as they are there for your safety.
Only advanced skiers and riders who are prepared for low coverage and variable conditions should ride Chair 3. There is no easy way down, and all paths of descent will have areas of low coverage and exposed dirt/rocks, including the ‘main’ named runs like Kiwa & Toketie. As always, we urge you to ski and ride with caution and take it easy as you ease onto new terrain.
Terrain accessed from Chair 4 remains early-season and variable. Coverage is still developing, and thin cover, variable snow conditions, and unmarked obstacles exist. Chair 4 terrain is best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers and riders who are comfortable with variable snow conditions, low coverage, and challenging early-season terrain. There is no easy way down from Chair 4.
Snowmaking operations will continue whenever possible to expand terrain and improve coverage. This may include:
- Modified terrain availability
- Snowmaking equipment operating on open runs
- Variable surface conditions in areas where snowmaking is underway
*Run status may change at any time.
