4:00pm Conditions Report:
Happy Thursday! We’re ready to get after it with 5 more hours of night riding still to come on Chairs 1, 2, & 4 along with our learning area. It’s been a super fun day here on the mountain with areas of soft snow to be found throughout the day. Cold temps have kept snow light and dry all day, all across the mountain. We’ll have more of the same heading into night skiing with temps in the low 20s and continued winds keeping things chilly. Dress warm! As for surface conditions, dry snow is the name of the game. On well-trafficked groomers, that snow’s gonna get pushed off quickly and there will be areas of firm base on areas like upper Sunspot and the top of Tumwater 2. On the other hand, that light fluff has been piling up on the edges of trails all day long, and along treelines there are still some stashes to be found for the adventurous. Remember, however, to continue riding with caution as early season conditions exist underneath the recent snowfall. With Chair 4 open, we’ve been super glad to have added that terrain to the night riding mix and are excited to be back on it this evening. With cold temps, the snowmaking crew is likely to have some guns running on the mountain, but other than that we should have clear visibility to start the night with clouds potentially increasing toward the end. We will see you up here for another great night!
