Dan making turns down Chair 3

1/9 Conditions Report

1:30 Update: Wind Hold: Chair4 is currently on hold due to high winds. We will continue to update regarding the status of Chair 4 for the remainder of the day.

10:00am Update: With windy conditions and 6″ of new snow over night, you can say its the definition of storm skiing out there today. We saw groomed runs with pockets of wind deposited snow across the mountain. Due to the high winds Chair 2 remains on hold with the forecast calling for the windy to stick around for remained of the day.

Visibility is variable across the mountain as well, so remember to keep an eye out for the folks around you.

Chair 4 is now open. Chair 2 remains on hold due to high winds.

*Early season conditions exist. Low coverage in places. Please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures, as they are there for your safety.

9:10am Update: Chair 4 is now open. Chair 2 remains on hold due to high winds.

8:30am Update: Chairs 2 and 4 will start the day on wind hold due to high winds. Forecasts call for high winds to continue throughout the day. We will continue to update regarding the status of Chiars 2 and 4 today.

Morning Report: The storm has arrived and we’ve received 6” of new snow overnight and 7” in the last 24 hours in the Upper Basin. In addition to the new snow, the storm brought with it high winds as forecast. Winds are supposed to remain high with sustained speed in the fifties and stronger gusts possible at the summit throughout the day. Forecast wind speeds do have the potential to impact some operations, so we will be keeping a close eye on things as the morning progresses and keep you updated. Chair 2 will be on hold to start the day due to high winds at the summit. We hope that the forecasts are overstating winds and things come in a bit calmer than expected.
*Early season conditions exist. Low coverage in places. Please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures, as they are there for your safety.
