12/26/25 Conditions Report

10:00 Conditions Update:

It’s good out there this morning! The groomers are riding nice and smooth with cold temps and dry snow – firmer near the top where there has been more wind and softer down below on Tumwater & Mimi. The best snow I found so far was in the Fun Park area, with some minimally tracked areas that still have a couple inches left over from yesterday. I’m sure there are numerous other stashes around the mountain to be found for those ready to explore, but please do make sure to obey all closures & ropes lines as always. Chair 3 terrain has highly variable conditions including plenty of stashes and some areas that have received limited grooming and have firm surface conditions. Visibility is back up after we spent the last few days socked in, and we’re enjoying the classic Mission Ridge view over the sunlit valley inversion while the summit meanders in and out of the overhead clouds. We’ve still got a bit of snow in the forecast today but haven’t seen it materialize just yet. With night skiing tonight, we are more than ready to enjoy another 11 hours of skiing & riding, and fingers crossed we pick up a bit more snow before the day is out!

6:30 Conditions Report:

Good morning skiers and riders! We hope you’ve slept off that Christmas feast and are ready to get after it on the slopes today! There’s a lot to look forward to here on the mountain, with the highlight being the start of night skiing this evening! Yep,  we’ll be open for 12 hours straight from 9am all the way through to 9pm! We have Chair 1 & the Pika Peak Rope Tow scheduled from 9-9, Chair 2 from 9-8:30, while Chair 3 will spin from 9-4.

The grooming team has been out overnight laying down corduroy on Sunspot, Tumwater, & Mimi which I expect to make for some very good cruising today after 3 inches of new snow fell during the ski day yesterday. Especially near the summit, yesterday had really soft conditions, and with temps dropping overnight, this is likely to translate into a groomed surface that’s pretty soft underfoot. Off-piste, we can expect more variable conditions including some stashes, a lot of areas that were tracked out yesterday, and considerable areas of thin cover and early-season conditions. Runs on Chair 3 are open on natural snow only and have limited grooming, making them suitable for exploration by advanced skiers and riders only at this point in the season.

For those looking to ride the park, we do have a build on Lil Bombers to the skier’s left on lower Mimi.

Today’s forecast calls for a chance of snow during the day with subfreezing temperatures across the mountain and 1-3 inches of accumulation possible. This should do well in maintaining dry snow quality and potential providing a refresh as the day goes on. We’re looking forward to seeing you up here all the way until 9 tonight!
