4pm Conditions Report
We’re getting ready to light up the mountain for a special night of skiing and riding at Mission Ridge! After a full day on the slopes, conditions are shaping up well as we head into the evening. We’re also excited to host a Numerica Credit Union Night Ski tonight.
Snow surfaces have seen a full day of skier and rider traffic, so expect variable conditions this evening. You’ll find firmer to hard, well-packed snow on higher-traffic runs, with pockets of softer snow lingering in lower-traffic areas and along the edges. Coverage is also variable, and will continue to evolve as the night goes on.
Tonight’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with temperatures dropping to around 20 degrees. A light southwest wind near 8 mph should keep things comfortable, and visibility is expected to be good under the lights.
All Numerica Credit Union Night Ski tickets are sold out, and we’re thrilled to welcome so many members of our community to the mountain this evening thanks to Numerica’s generosity. Regular night skiing tickets are still available, but please note that night ski and snowboard rentals are sold out for tonight (12/30).
Beginner-friendly terrain is best accessed via the Ottobahn Carpet, Pika Peak Rope Tow, and Chair 1. Terrain off Chair 2 is best suited for advanced skiers and riders, especially at night when snow surfaces can be more variable and visibility may be reduced.
As always, ski and ride within your ability, stay aware of changing conditions, and enjoy the unique experience of turns under the lights. We’re looking forward to a fun and memorable night on the mountain.
