12/3 Conditions Report

10:45am Update: We’ve picked up another trace of new snow this morning on top of the 7″ in 24 hours and 11″ in 48 hours. Conditions are fun and fluffy at the top of the mountain and get a little heavier as you get down to Midway. The new snow has allowed for the opening of several runs mid-morning including Johnson’s, Tyee, WaWa, Kiwa, Java, Toketie, and Kwan. These runs have low coverage and have not been groomed. Take it easy out there if you choose to explore new terrain.

Early season conditions will exist. Please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures as they are there for your safety.

Early Morning Report: December is off to a great start, and things are starting to look like full-on winter around here! We’ve received 7″ of new snow in the last 24 hours and 11″ in the last 48 hours in the Upper Basin. We also saw the addition of a little more terrain off of the Wenatchee Express (Chair 2) during the day yesterday. Additional terrain will open as conditions permit, and we plan to have Chairs 1, 2, the Pika Peak Rope Tow, and the Ottobahn Carpet in operation today from 9am to 4pm. Look for soft turns on the groomed runs this morning to become more variable over the course of the day. The storm cycle is not over yet, and we could also see the addition of several inches of new snow today at the top of the mountain. Keep your fingers crossed for temps to stay cool and that the forecast for a wintery mix in the afternoon comes in as all snow

Forecast

Snow before 11am, then a chance of rain and snow. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 30. Windy, with a south wind 17 to 22 mph increasing to 29 to 34 mph in the afternoon.
