Skier making turn on the Tumwater run at Mission Ridge

12/31 Conditions Report

10:30am Update: Surface conditions are about as expected, with firmer conditions across the mountain. Temps are starting on the cooler side, but getting in the sun at the top of the mountain sure feels great. There is very little wind and that combination of sunny skies and calm winds is forecast to continue throughout the day. Look for surface conditions to stay firmer and become more variable throughout the day.

Early Morning Report: It’s the final day of 2023, and we are ready to send it out in style. The forecast calls for sunny skies, calm winds, and temps in the upper twenties. The mountain gradually cooled off overnight after yesterday’s warm-up, so look for surface conditions to start off the day on the firmer side. Runs groomed on the am shift (after midnight) will be the place to make first turns. Off-piste conditions are likely to be extremely firm and variable. You’ll want to be sure to stick around this evening for a special New Year’s Eve Night Ski. We’ll be open until 9pm with DJ Mabee spinning records in the Hampton Lodge from 7pm to 9pm for a little New Year’s Ee pre-party. All chairs and all surface lifts are scheduled for operation from 9am to 4pm. Chairs 1, 2, 4 and all surface lifts will then be scheduled from 4pm to 9pm for Night Skiing. Night Ski-only lift tickets are available and are valid from 5 pm to close. For more info on our Night Skiing terrain, CLICK HERE.

*Early season conditions exist. Low coverage in places. Please stay on open runs and respect all rope lines/trail closures, as they are there for your safety.
