10:00 Conditions Update: That touch of fresh on the groomers makes for a distinctly pleasant skiing experience. The dry quality of the snow fills the cords and turns are buttery smooth. Off-piste is variable, with a packed base topped with packed and loose powder. Make sure to feel out your tracks before diving into your line. Though it’s calm across the mountain, ambient temperatures are chilly so listen to your body and make sure you’re staying warm with plenty of breaks and layering well. Snow is still coming down over our classic non-existent lift lines. These conditions are well worth the brain freeze!
6:30 Conditions Report: Big, light flakes are falling this morning over the mountain. That little blessing blankets the corduroy that has been so lovingly laid by our grooming team for you to cruise. Conditions off-piste should be similar to yesterday, with a blend of firm snow and packed powder tempered by the trace snow that is falling. The sun is expected to sleep in today after an exciting Super Bowl Sunday, but she’ll make an appearance as the day progresses. It is expected to get cold today, so dress for success by covering all exposed skin and taking breaks to rewarm at one of our full service lodges with some hot food and beverages. If you’re still feeling alright after last night’s festivities, it’s a great time to get up to the mountain and find those smooth, fresh snow turns!
