2/13/26 Conditions Report

9:30 Conditions Update:

Sunspot, Tumwater, & Mimi are about as silky smooth as they get this morning thanks to the efforts of the snowmaking and grooming crews last night. A bit of new man-made snow and some top-notch tilling have created appetizing cruising conditions from top to bottom, with overcast skies overhead and a few clouds in the valley below, but otherwise unobstructed views east to the Columbia and west to Rainier. Cloudy skies will help to keep snow dry and fresh for longer today, even as temps creep upwards over time. The perfect corduroy is getting torn up quick by some eager shredders this morning, but there will still be good stuff to be found later in the day. If you’re looking for a taste of some slashing and surfing today, head to the Fun Park where the guns will remain on blast until the temps dictate otherwise. They’ve managed to pile up some of that classic grainy artificial snow that feels great underfoot as you zip over the rollers.

6:30 Conditions Report:

Happy Friday! We’ve almost made it to the long weekend, and anticipation is building here on the mountain. Currently we have temps in the 20s and low 30s under mostly cloudy skies, and some tactically placed snow guns are cranking it up as the crew capitalizes on the spots with cold temps. This morning is gonna be another good one for some cruiser laps on our groomed runs, which have been skiing well over the past several days, especially early in the day. Corduroy should be smooth and consistent this morning, with nightly snowmaking this week adding significant new material for the grooming team to work into that surface. As the day progresses, temps could creep into the 30s across the mountain; however, mostly cloudy skies should help to keep most surfaces relatively cool and dry. While the groomed runs will provide some wonderful wintry shredding today, remember that we do have limited terrain open, and if you venture into ungroomed areas, conditions will quickly get firmer and more variable in both condition and coverage.

The Parks Crew has been hard at work on a refresh at 100Laps over the past couple days, and the new build is now ready for action! Come check it out.

If your long weekend doesn’t get started till this afternoon, don’t worry, because there’s still plenty of time to come and join us! Lifts will spin until 9pm tonight with night skiing from 4pm-9pm. As more active weather enters the area this weekend, the first snow showers could start falling around when the lights turn on this evening. From 5:30-7, Midway will also have some lively special events. Leroy will be hosting Bingo Night again, and the crew is also providing us with a tasty buffet. Help yourself to a generous portion, play a couple rounds of free bingo, and then get back out there! We will see you on the mountain.
