4:00pm Conditions Report:Â
Who’s ready for a BONUS night?! We sure are! There’s still a ton of skiing and riding left to be had this long weekend. As we head into the evening, conditions on the mountain are variable following a day of traffic. Expect some areas to have been scraped off to hardpack, especially on steeper slopes. However, there’s also a lot of loose snow out there following LOTS of snowmaking over the past week. This loose sugar has stayed dry today with temps remaining below freezing. Look for it on flatter pitches and less trafficked areas, where you’ll find better edge hold and more opportunities for some playful spray. As the evening progresses, it could get a bit chilly, with summit temps dropping into the low 20s. Don’t forget to stop inside the Midway Lodge or the Hampton Lodge if you need a quick warming break. Should be a great night out there! 5 extra hours of skiing under the lights are just what we need to make the long weekend getaway last a little longer.
