Ski and snowboard tracks over freshly groomed snow

2/21/26 Night Conditions Report

4:00pm Conditions Report:

We got half an inch of new snow throughout the day today, and a couple flakes remain in the air as the first wave of this system tapers off! The new snow is light and dry in quality, meaning a little bit of it goes a long way toward creating some piles to spray up, but it also doesn’t adhere to the existing snow surface that quickly. This means we’re riding on a mixture of chopped up fresh fluff atop firm hardpack this evening. Head for the sides of trails to find the most consistent soft snow, while highly trafficked areas are gonna need some sharp edges to grip well. New snow has also piled up quite a bit into some bumpy powder moguls on Tumwater. If you’re looking for a smoother ride, check out the Chair 4 terrain. These runs receive less traffic, so they can maintain more even snow surfaces throughout the day. As the night progresses, we could see some continued flurries and temps will remain stable or even rise a little bit, sticking in the mid 20s.

Don’t forget that Pizza Party is playing in the Hampton Lodge from 6:30-8:30 tonight. Mountain Music will be an awesome diversion if you decide to take a break from logging some laps this evening.

Remember that Chair 4 remains open to mid-station only during Night Skiing. Even though the chair has now re-opened to the top during daylight, there are not night lights on that terrain, so all riders must unload at mid-station. We will see you on the mountain!
