2/24/25 Conditions Report

10:45 Operations Update: 100Laps Terrain Park will be closed today due to firm conditions in the park. Clouds are rolling in and it seems we might see that forecast snow begin to fall soon.

10:00 Conditions Update: If I had to describe skiing today in one word it would be condy. The mountain is a charcuterie plate of spring weather conditions. The summit is a little windy and crusty, with wind scour just at the crest of Katsuk, Tumwater, and Sun Spot where the scoured snow cushions the lower 3/4 of the runs. Bomber Bowl was reversed, with the snow accumulating at the top of the run and the lower pitch being firmer. Where the sun hits the bottom of Tumwater and the top of Mimi, the snow becomes very soft abruptly, and the snow on Mimi varies between firm, choppy, and soft. It’s warming up at the base, so Mimi should soften up and homogenize as the day progresses. The wind is calming at the summit and the sun is out across the mountain. If you’re looking to speedrun spring conditions, today’s the day!

6:30 Conditions Report: Temperatures at the top of the mountain cooled off considerably overnight with temps in the Base Area remaining above freezing. Mixed precipitation fell across the mountain in the early evening with snow flurries at the summit and the heavy rain seen in the Base Area continuing for a time. Surface conditions will vary considerably with firm to potentially very hard conditions at the summit transitioning to less firm but still crusty snow in the Base Area. Today’s forecast calls for the return of snow and there are several inches of snow possible which could be a wonderful refresh to kick off the week.

We’ll see you on the mountain!
