A skier in red turns in front of snow-laden trees

2/24/26 Conditions Report

10:00 Conditions Update:

It is another awesome one out there today with a nice layer of fresh on top of the corduroy. It’s skiing super soft and fun top to bottom with just a little mist of snow coming down at the summit. On Tumwater you can feel the firm snowpack under the fresh. It’s one of more exposed and highest traffic areas, so it can get a little scraped but there is a lot of terrain to explore today because our Ski Patrol has been able to open up a bit of new terrain yesterday and today. We are excited to ski some Chair 3 terrain again! This terrain must be accessed by traversing from Chair 2 as Chair 3 is not scheduled for operation and the trails are ungroomed as this terrain is open on only natural snow. If you are thinking about heading that way, anticipate marked and unmarked obstacles and ride with caution. Windy Ridge also had ropes dropped this morning for the especially daring. There’s definitely some sweet turns over yonder but again- natural snow, thin cover, potential for hidden obstacles. It’s easy to get ahead of yourself if you’re as excited as I am but you have to remember your preride-reride-freeride progression and ride with caution.

Safe to say, some of the best turns of the season. Stretch out those ski legs and explore.

6:30 Conditions Report:

Good morning skiers!

The snow stakes are reading 3.5 inches in 24 hours from yesterday’s squall and yes, once again we are forecast for some more! The brunt of it should fall during operating hours to fill in your tracks behind you and keep those trails fresh. We should be starting the day with some really soft, smooth groomers. I feel like I’m wearing out the word creamy, but that’s what I anticipate for our on-piste conditions. Off-piste is shaping up with the snowfall but the waters could still be shark-infested, so if you’re braving that terrain ride with caution and expect thin and variable conditions. We should have comfortable temperatures across the mountain as well as some clouds and fog, especially at the top. This could burn off as the day progresses, or raise in atmospheric elevation which would make the sky feel a little roomier. Might be a good day to break out the rose tinted goggles if you have not already.

See you on the mountain!
