4:00pm Conditions Report:Â
Our last Thursday of Night Skiing for the 25/26 Season is blowing in quick, so come up here and get your laps! After fresh snow earlier this week, conditions have held up pretty well throughout the day. Less steep runs primarily have edge-able surface conditions with spots of loose snow that can be tossed about a good bit. Low down on Mimi, the slopes got some sun today and warmed up just above freezing, creating some areas of denser snow, but otherwise the light snow that fell is holding its dry character pretty well. On steeper runs, however, it’s been scraped off in spots, exposing hardpack below. Fortunately, this snow piles up on the sides and bottoms of the most-trafficked slopes, loading up some spots for some soft but bumpy turns if you know where to look. All in all, conditions are variable but quite good for the end of the day!
A steady sustained wind out of the west has been affecting us all day and will continue to do so during our night riding window. Layer up and pop that bubble down while you’re riding Chair 2! Otherwise, skies are blue over the lower mountain while the upper slopes are in and out of the clouds. It’s our final night of Thursday Night Drags racing, and Michelob and Kona will be visiting to provide us with some drinks to celebrate in the Chair 5 Pub! We’ll see you on the mountain!
